There has been new upcoming films out, although I am sort of disappointed by the choices of casts in it.
For example, the new Ant-Man film feature Paul Rudd as the main protagonist. I'm not sure he's suited for the role. Worse though, he's not playing Hank Pym. Instead, the character Pym is portrayed old and played by Michael Douglas. Now, while I do like Douglas in films, I think Marvel Studios had got it all wrong. Honestly, the film should just focus on Hank Pym, and he should've been given the role to Patrick Wilson, Jesse Eisenberg or James Franco. I know the film hasn't even been filmed yet, but from the cast list, I just know it's already gonna be a flop.
Then there's the films X-Men: Days of Future Past & Avengers: Age of Ultron. Although the Marvel character Quicksilver is going to be in both those roles(X-Men film, maybe but the Avengers film, definitely), but it seems two actors will be playing the same character; Evan Peters and Aaron Taylor-Johnson. That is going to be VERY confusing. I mean, X-Men and Avengers are from the same comic franchise, they just can't completely ignore that. Unless they'll do the change of actor like they did with Terrence Howard with Don Cheadle in Iron Man, Josh Dallas with Zach Levi in Thor and even Edward Norton with Mark Ruffalo as the main role for Hulk. If that's what's gonna happen, then I'm OK with that. As for Ultron, I kinda hoped he would be portrayed by either Alan Tudyk or Michael Emerson.
Speaking of Marvel films, I personally hope they'll make a spin-off film to Avengers called New Avengers. Marvel Studios will probably bring in Iron Patriot, Falcon and Sif as the team roster, but they should definitely include Wolverine and Spiderman(because according to the comics, the two characters are members of the New Avengers). But maybe they'll add Iron Fist and Luke Cage(as they are part of the New Avengers as well). If they do, I think the best role for them should be Dwayne Johnson and Daniel Dae Kim respectively.
But as we're looking back, I kinda realised what would happen if there were different casts to play Marvel characters. Like Liam Hemsworth or Channing Tatum as Captain America(when I first heard Chris Evans was playing Captain America, I didn't think it would work as I always saw him as someone who stars in comedy films rather than action films, but then I learned to like it), Jeremy Irons as Odin and Denzel Washington as Nick Fury. Although, seen as were going there, according to the Marvel Comics there was a mainstream Fury who was white(and with hair). Just saying that if Marvel Studios kept that version of Nick Fury then the person who would portray him would either be Dennis Quaid, Aaron Eckhart or Kevin Costner.
But bottom line, I am rather disappointed in the choice casts in the Next films so far.
