I always had a thought if there would be any tie-ins between these Marvel films; Avengers fanchise, X-Men franchise and The Amazing Spiderman franchise.
For starters, the Avengers sequel will feature Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch. According to the comics, they are the son and daughter of Magneto. Now, they can't just ignore that, that is a key point in the Marvel comics. And even if they bring up that key point, there is one mistake they had made; Magneto is old, so his children would have to be in thier 30s. I've checked who will play them, and they seem a little too young. Unless of course they're characters have a rare gene that allows them to age slower, a rare gene that very few mutants have. But I also leanred that the character Quicksilver also be in X-Men: Days of Future Past but played by a different actor apperantly. Now that is going to be confusing, unless that quicksilver will be a second incarnation AND Magneto's grandson, or they'll make a change of actor like they did with James Rhodes in Iron Man(replacing Terrence Howard with Don Cheadle), Hulk in Avengers(replacing Edward Norton with Mark Ruffalo) and Fandral in Thor(replacing Josh Dallas with Zachary Levi) which would be alright in my book.
But speaking of Avengers/X-Men tie-ins, we should move on the The Wolverine. In the film, features a villainess named Viper. In the comics, she goes by another name; Madame Hydra, an agent of HYDRA. The media mentioned that character would feature in the film, and according to the comics she is a foe to Wolverine(and in turn the X-Men) and due to being a member of Hydra, an enemy of Captain America(and in turn the Avengers), as well of an enemy of Nick Fury(and in turn S.H.I.E.L.D.). All I'm saying is, at the end of The Wolverine, she died. Which is a shame, because it she would've returned for a possible crossover where Wolverine and Captain America teamed up. I really hate that when good villains die in these films, especially when they would have a pivotal role in future franchises, eventually in crossovers, like with Loki(who appeared in Thor and got a spotlight in Avengers, and made a third comeback in Thor 2).
Speaking of a Wolverine/Captain America crossover, according to the comic books the two face off against the character Deathlock. And according to the TV show Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., the character Deathlock would appear in a later episode. Plus, it would make sense seen as Wolverine is immortal, and he would know Captain America one time in WW2, possibly teaming up with him against HYDRA(but only once). So I think it would make sense.
But back to Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., I hear that the character Sif will appear in a later episode, now if that's true, then maybe there might be a possibility to references to a 'New Avengers' initiative, which would start of a spin-off movie with more characters in it like Don Cheadle as Iron Patriot, Jaime Alexander as Sif, Sebastian Stan as Winter Soldier, Anthony Mackie as Falcon, and reprising their rolse in a possible spin-off; Hugh Jackman as Wolverine and Andrew Garfield as Spiderman. Makes sense, as in the Marvel comics, Spiderman and Wolverine are members of the New Avengers team. Not sure how the storyline would be; either a supervillain breakout(que, Graviton) or the remainning Dark Elves(from Thor: The Dark World) would team up with Norman Osbourne. I would also like to see the appearance of Luke Cage & Iron Fist, both played by Dwayne Johnson and Sung Kang, respectively.
As for The Amazing Spiderman franchise, Peter Parker is still learning the secrets about his father, and learn that big organisations(like HYDRA or A.I.M.) were after his work(that cross-species genetics was the ultimate substitute to Abraham Erskine's super-soldier serum). Which Spiderman would face off against his dealiest opponent; Mysterio(could be the 'mysterious' figure who visited Dr.Connors his cell(at the post-credit scene in The Amazing Spiderman) and then disappearing).
And maybe in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Stanley Tucci could portray a descendant of Dr.Erskine in a later episode. Forgot to mention, a mysterious character, the Clairvoyant might be a mutant, as would the character in the show, Scorche(Which the agennts of S.H.I.E.L.D. somehow failed to notice), which would mean a possible tie-in with the X-Men franchise.
But as we're bringing up Wolverine, throughout the film he lost his memories, but in the latest film he began to remember his days in WW2. That didn't make sense for me. Then I suddenly realised, a possibility, that in X-Men: The Last Stand, moments before Logan killed her, Jean Grey must've telepathically transfered her consciousness in Logan's mind and while inside she must've been slowly restoring his memories(as a 'thank you' for ending her suffering).
Well, that's all I needed to say. Tell me what you think, and if you share my opinions.
