A second idea to J. R. R. Tolkien's work, even though he never made anymore based on Middle-Earth.
The cast lists should be;
John Hurt, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Henry Cavill, Eva Green, Mark Strong, Jai Courtney, Robert Sheehan, Abby Cornish, Ray Stevenson, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Brendan Gleeson, Saoirse Ronan, Gerard Butler, Toby Jones, Eddie Marsan, Kit Harrington, Manu Bennett.
And the plot of the film would be;
Many years passed since the defeat of Sauron, many years of peace. But now king Aragorn is dead, and his son Elendil(Henry Cavill), who was named after his great-grandfather, is next in line on the throne of Gondor. But treachery inbounds when Gondor's general Eric(Mark Strong) betrays his kingdom and welcomes in an army of Orcs. Matters are worse when it is revealed that a new threat has come to Middle-Earth, a witch named Lillian(Eva Green) who threatens to bring darkness into Middle-Earth once more. Without a kingdon, Elendil seeks to reclaim it. And he is soon approached by a wizard named Nikolai the Grey(John Hurt) who offers to form a fellowship. Nikolai first goes to The Shire to find a Hobbit. There, he meets Frodo Gamgee(Aaron Taylor-Johnson), who was named by his father Samwise after his friend Frodo Baggins. Despite his father's objections, Frodo Travels with Nikolai along with his friend Doogle Took(Robert Sheehan).
In the meet up of the now ruined Rivendale, Nikolai introduces the rest of the company; the company of Men(Manu Bennet and Kit Harrington) including the heir of Rohan Théoden(Jai Courtney), who was named after his grandfather, and the company of Dwarves(Toby Jones and Eddie Marsan) including the Thren(Gerard Butler), son of Thorin Oakenshield. Their quest is to find a specific blade that can kill Lillian, one that can only be forged in the fires of Mount Doom.
Upon their travels, the new Fellowship meet a female ranger named Clara(Abby Cornish) who's family were murdered by Orcs sent by Lillian, and a 'good' Orc Cromb(Adewake Akinnuoye-Agbaje) who has a sense of honour and the only one who knows a way to Mordor. Now united, this unlikely travelling party must work together and battle an evil more powerful than any they had encountered.
I think this could work. Ray Stevenson would star in this film as a second-in-command to Mark Strong's character, and Brendan Gleeson would portray an older Samwise and Saoirse Ronan would play a love interest to Aaron Taylor-Johnson's character.
But again, I think this would be an interesting. Seeing a new chapter to the Middle-Earth franchise, seeing new characters and new adventures.
