What a friggin idiot!
I cant believe how old-fashioned and screwed up my dad is!! GRRRR! Unfortunately I had to spend most (half) of the day with him due to a ridiculously timed ortho appt. So my dad takes advantage of the time to lecture me more about med school, laurens door (which is already taken care of!!!), nursing in case i fail med school... and then he just started talking about random things re: which relative had what kind of education/job. then he said something like well you can only be a doctor, being a nurse isnt that great of a job, its the kind of thing you drop once you get married adn have a family.... and i was like WFT MOFO!?!?! SO a higher education and post-collegiate degrees are designed so women can meet men who will provide well for htem?! and then the women are supposed to raise a family?!! OMG hes so old fashined and pig-headed adn just plain STUPID. i mean does he really expect one income to take care of everything, and leaving 1 person at home fair? ionno its just he wouldnt even LISTEN to my views on the subject, which i think are quite liberal (which would have made for an interesting discussion if he had the brains or decency to curteously listen to my side then respond to it).
