The precision of that device is quite something, even if I wasn't thrilled with the smoothness of the printing surface; that's more a function of the quality of the 1/16" planks I was able to get than anything to do with the laser cutter. I'm curious to try using the laser cutter to do the key-block/outline carving directly on to the block, though I don't have a workflow for that at the moment...
