hello, this is a repostRéunir. Won/Kyu. Non-AU. AfterSJ. PG-13 (as of now)
Summary: Kyuhyun went away for years to forget, Siwon wants him to remember
A/N: I still don't know how this would end up but there's a greater percentage of this falling as an angst, and a little warning that I'm no good at it. And lastly, I changed my title the last minute of publishing. It's the french translation of reunite. ;__________________; I have this done long long ago but ofc I am too smart to not finish anything I set as chaptered. fml.
"Are you married now?"
Cho Kyuhyun's breathing halted. It was a senseless question actually. Say, he’ve been standing stupidly there for minutes, but he didn’t have to break the silence by asking that question. Of all the things to ask, his brain chose to question Siwon’s current civil status?
He wanted to take it back badly.
It has been three years, alright. Three full years of Kyuhyun’s wanderings and whatnots. He used almost all of his savings on just travelling the world - much more of a goal to him. Those years were a worthwhile time spending, but the whole trip wasn’t as stress-free as it should’ve been.
And now, he’s facing the focus of his stress.
It felt like the question fell on deaf ears. The man at the desk, CEO Choi Siwon, paused on his writings upon hearing the latter’s question, but continued writing on, as if none of Kyuhyun’s presence concerns him. The moment Kyuhyun entered his office, Siwon had avoided all the possible contacts between him and the younger so he scribbled some more senseless words on the paper that was supposed to contain his daily report.
Even he can’t decipher the characters he wrote down. Much more for Kyuhyun’s view of it on the spot where he was standing.
Siwon stretched a bit and looked up, trying his best not to meet the latter’s eyes. He opened his mouth as if to say something when he realized he haven’t thought of anything smart enough to reply, and shut his mouth close again.
Kyuhyun interpreted the action wrong. “Ah, I think the businessman here is pretty busy, huh?” he joked. The smile on his face, even his laugh, they were obviously fake in Siwon’s eyes. “I guess I should leave first, I have to meet another friend.”
And with a quick bow, Kyuhyun swiftly approached the glass door, despite of Siwon’s silent pleading for him to stay for a little while.
○
Who was he kidding, he meant no one when he said he was meeting another friend. Surely he had to meet and catch up with other people but he reserved this day for his Siwon hyung alone. It killed him leaving the office, but Siwon’s unpleasant expression was trying to suggest something. Something negative.
Could the silence mean that Siwon’s really married? Were all the rumors about him true? Would this mean everything about them faded?
Everything?
About them?
Faded?
His drop by the office wasn’t as fast as he thought it would be. He even practiced his lines to say incase Siwon would ask him about his trip. He thought of drinking a coffee in front of him, a habit he had developed on his trips on Western countries.
But little did he know that the CEO of the company was too busy to entertain any visitor, even someone like him.
On the other side, he felt relieved, finishing their conversation right away. The hurt Kyuhyun had suppressed for the whole 3 years alone was too much. He didn’t want to stay longer if he wouldn’t get to touch Siwon.
He waited no more and started the engine of his car as soon as he got sit on it. He needed rest.

“He ignored you?” Sungmin’s face retorted to something in the middle of being mad and concerned. I sipped more on my coffee after giving him a nod. “Well, not ignored. We started the conversation casually, and it ended there.”
There, I meant my question.
I met up with Sungmin the day after I went to Siwon’s office. Sungmin had been doing well. He helped on the trainees a lot; he’s successful for handling talents, the thing he got absorbed to after we disbanded. Sitting back at Kona Beans after years of having not to, I felt like a foreigner in my own country.
“I miss you, hyung.” I said, realizing I was talking with Sungmin, probably the most open-minded person as I would always say.
“So do I. Kyu, your physical self didn’t change that much since the last time I saw you but you look different. Cannot point out what, really.”
I smiled as I sip on my coffee more. My hair color changed, my skin color changed, too. Ah, maybe he meant my color.
“Look, I became tan.” I flashed him one of my arms to give him a good look.
“You must have met really nice girls, haven’t you?” Sungmin changed the topic, resting his back on the chair and lifted both his legs to another empty chair across.
I thought of skipping such topic, but my mouth came first before my brain did, “If you ask if I have met someone considered enough to be ‘nice’, then I have an easy answer.”
“What’s nice enough for you?”
“None of all the girls I’ve met.” I smiled.
Sungmin made a sound and stared away at the window. Silence filled the empty shop. A certain conversation in the past rang, and it felt like the same old days again.

“Hyung, you surely liked someone, like an actress. I’m sure. You’ve worked with a lot-“
“Are you kidding me?” Siwon kissed my left cheek. “How dare you talk about others when I have here the one I like the most? Or wait, the one I only like.”
The last phrase gave me heat up to my neck, and it led me to initiate a sweet kiss. Siwon held me by the chin, “I’m so attracted to you.”
“I am so, too.”
I plunged back on hugging his bare chest. It felt good, indicating protection. Hugging him always felt like this.
I don’t want to leave.
○○○○“Sir, he has left.”
“Thank you.” Siwon replied to his petite secretary and asked to close the door again, leaving him alone with his guilty thoughts. The time has come, Kyuhyun’s arrival. It has been a long time since they’ve last seen each other, longer than how 3 years should feel.
He felt betrayed for not being able to hear anything from him for the last three years. Kyuhyun left him without notice. Should he be happy now that Kyuhyun’s back? The question actually, can they still be together?
Last year, his Leeteuk hyung explained to him that Kyuhyun wasn’t on a permanent country whatsoever. He went away without informing anyone, to clear up his mind. Siwon wouldn’t have to ask what the reason was - he knows what the reason was.
He dialed Leeteuk, from which the latter picked up after the 4th ring.
“Siwonnie, yes?”
“Hyung,” his voice was unusual. He kept his voice stern but it won’t work, “Kyuhyun went here.”
“Oh?” was all Leeteuk said before giving himself a minute of realization. He spoke after, “Where is he now?”
“I don’t have any idea. But I don’t know what to do.”
“Have you… have you told him yet?”
“Should he know?”
“Of course Si-“
“He asked me if I was married.” Siwon remembered Kyuhyun asking him that phrase before he left. Leeteuk was silent for a moment. Siwon’s breathed heavily through the phone.
“You should meet with him and settle your things. He has the right to know about your marriage.”
Siwon ended the call and sighed. He thought he should think about things over first.

“We have something important to talk about.”
Siwon stretched his suit, trying to look decent enough as he observed his appearance at the mirror wall across him. He watched the opening of closing of his mouth too, anything that might look weird or ugly on him. He’s having a hard time finding words while talking by himself. He felt like a teenager waiting for his blind date. All he knew was that he wanted to impress.
“We have to talk about a matter… ah, no.”
Biting his lower lip, he flipped his phone open and dialed one person that immediately came to his mind- Donghae. He gave up with his fourth try of paraphrasing, on how to start the conversation with Kyuhyun.
So he thought Donghae could help him. That Donghae knows the right words to say.
Donghae picked his phone at the seventh ring.
“Oh, Siwon?”
“Hae, are you… are you busy with something? I.. I need your help.”
Donghae felt the hesitance on Siwon’s voice, “No I’m fine, just give me a minute.”
The phone call ended and it took a minute before Donghae gave the call back. “What is it?”
Siwon started to stutter, “It’s about the thing I told you about last night.”
“Ah,” Donghae tried to recall, “you planned of meeting him, right?”
“Yes, today.”
“Today? Wait, are you .. why today?”
“Didn’t I mention it’s today?”
“I thought of next week. But really, today? Man, are you-“
Siwon cleared his throat to interrupt, “Okay Donghae, I’m meeting him today. In fact, I’m just waiting for him to arrive.”
Siwon could feel Donghae’s mouth dropped. He heard an audible gasp.
“Really…”
Donghae stopped responding, and Siwon stopped answering. He was too stunned to react on Donghae’s mind absence, watching a figure he knows who, getting off a cab, as it get to the front door of the restaurant.
His body tensed, flipping his phone off and keeping it off in his pocket, not tearing his eyes from the figure inquiring on the desk, until the waiter led him to his table.
This is it, he whispered in his thoughts. He’s here.

Kyuhyun left his apartment a little too early. He’s thinking he made himself a little too formal, and a little too over-dressed, too. He’s doing things a little too much today. He’s meeting his past boyfriend, and he was trying to be a little calm about it.
But he was more than excited to have lunch with him. Like what they used to do.
Inside the cab, he read again the message sent to him by his Leeteuk hyung last night. It’s a message from Siwon but not from Siwon’s number. He wondered the whole night why would Siwon ask Leeteuk to send it to him when Siwon could have done that himself, straight from his own number?
Maybe Siwon won’t like him to know his number.
And the lunch was his call. It has been two weeks when they’ve last met on Siwon’s office, and he’ve been waiting for this. The thought of it made him a little bit excited and a little bit nervous.
The ride took about 10 minutes, and then he climbed off the cab weakly, all his systems functioning nervously, and he almost wished he shouldn’t have left the cab and just go back home.
But he was standing in front of the restaurant Siwon asked to meet him. He couldn’t go back.
A waiter attended him immediately, and led him to the rows of tables on the fancy restaurant people like Siwon usually pick. The sides were made of transparent glass, partly covered with elegant brown curtains, colors matching the whole place. It all reminded him of the hotel he stayed in at Thailand.
The waiter stopped walking, but he was too occupied of the lobby interiors until someone cleared his throat. He met Siwon’s eyes just sitting on his left. Siwon looked a lot calmer than he last saw him. He was wearing a shiny tuxedo over a baby blue polo. His short hair was well-fixed; the littlest of his bangs were pulled to the right but not a mess.
He didn’t notice the waiter leaving until he came to realize how long he’ve observed Siwon that close, the thing he was limited to do that day he dropped by on Siwon’s office.
He started to greet, “I am glad to see you.”
He pulled his chair himself and he thought Siwon would like to do it for him. Or maybe it was a part of his imagination - Siwon was about to stand up, maybe to greet him with a hug, and eventually lead him to the seat across, pulling it to let Kyuhyun sit. But Siwon didn’t. As he was sitting down, he noticed Siwon and his back straight lying on the chair. Maybe he really imagined it all.
“I’m glad you came. And to see you too.” Siwon smiled, his deep dimples caught Kyuhyun’s full attention for a moment. He missed that kind of smile, the kind that Kyuhyun assumed Siwon makes when he likes what he sees. He was thinking if that would apply on their situation. Because Kyuhyun was sure of himself, he still likes the person in front of him.
Siwon came too early, Kyuhyun observed, looking at the Strawberry Cheesecake lying on his table, seemed ordered moments ago. He smiled and eventually took a forkful of serving of it, taking it inside his mouth. Kyuhyun could feel Siwon watching his every move. He could feel the tension.
“How.. are you?” Siwon asked.
“Always fine, you?” Kyuhyun rolled back the question.
“A little… busy.” Siwon cleared his throat before continuing, “I’m sorry about… last time.”
Kyuhyun stopped chewing for a moment. He looked back at Siwon - Siwon’s eyes pierced on him. “Last time?”
Another incident that Kyuhyun had asked another question that was better asked inside his brain, not blurting it out. But he did speak what he thought. He watched as Siwon became confused of his question. Kyuhyun really meant about a lot of Last Times. He could even make a list of them and ask Siwon to say sorry on it one-by-one.
Siwon seemed to get it, “The latest last time.”
“Oh,” Kyuhyun’s feign reaction was obvious, “what about it?”
Siwon’s eyes started to give Kyuhyun the confusion, too. He didn’t know if those sorry eyes were for the ignoring part, or the question he have asked Siwon before leaving that Siwon refused to answer.
“Ah, the question I asked you?” Kyuhyun decided in his thoughts that Siwon must’ve been pointing out. Kyuhyun let out a laugh, “It was a trick question.”
“Trick… question?” Siwon parroted Kyuhyun’s words.
“I mean, you can’t be really married, can you?”
