So before we start our bed and breakfast we have to evict all our tenants. I've never dealt with tenants before, and I certainly have never evicted anyone. I didn't realize my tenants would do things like dig up all the plants in our backyard or run away when they saw me coming.
We have one tenant who works for CBC. He is a nice guy. He doesn't run away from me, or steal peonies. Last night while I was in the backyard he came out for a cigarette. I asked him how his job was going, and he said it was going well. So I said that when I heard he worked for CBC I got really excited because I was waiting fo the day I would turn on the radio, hear him reporting, and yell "HEY! I KNOW THAT GUY! I EVICTED HIM" He laughed awkwardly, which I took as encouragement, so I told him that when that happened I would call the radio station and tell them that if I'd known he was a celebrity I never would have evicted him. He laughed and said "Yeah right". I realized at this point that under normal cicumstances I would be embarassed for saying what I just said, but what did I care? He's evicted, and I mean if you can't make jokes about throwing someone out of their home, what can you joke about?
At least I didn't tell him he'd never work in this town again, like I told our painter today. He really thought that was funny though, he knew I was joking. At least I think he knew I was joking.
