"best friends
are those select few
who know you
like nobody else.
they can read you
in a second and
send you telepathic
messages to make
you giggle. they
throw you pity parties
three times a day
and buy you presents
for no reason.
they are your family,
your therapists, your
mentors, and your life."
Well said, Ellen Shelton! I am reminded of this when I lie (lay?) on squishy fake mulch and philosophize (philophosize?) about stars and bodies and elementary school. Thank goodness none of us died when we were four! This is a shout to my family, my therapists, my mentors, my life; my friends. This is the stuff of summer.
