Once with the comments concerning my latest picspam, for which I would like to thank you once again, many questions about the coloring used for the edited photos have popped out too. Since quite a lot of people loved the coloring and a few other asked me how have I made it, I fully decided to post a tutorial. This would be the first one for me, as I've never given suggestions / help on coloring before. It's really easy and I hope it will be a good help for all the graphic designers and not only.:)
1. Download the PSD version of the second photo posted below, from
here. It contains all the colors used for this type of coloring. All the edits have been applied to this file, so you won't need to modify anything.
2. Open Photoshop and, of course, open the downloaded PSD file. Then open the picture that you want to edit.
3. Select the 'Move' tool, from the tools menu, click on the PSD file and move the arrow on the other picture. You'll notice that its' colors have changed. Well, in order to obtain the final coloring, you must move the arrow 3 times (!) from the PSD file to your base. Once you're done, just save the file in whatever format you want.
> As you surely know, the coloring will not look the same on all the pictures. It always depends on its' original colors, highlights, shadows, and so on. On some pictures it might look gorgeous while on some other might look bad. It depends.
> This coloring 'works' best on clear, brightened, unshadowed photos. In other words, it wouldn't turn out that great on some pictures taken during the evening / night.
> Here are some examples of this coloring. Do not steal them, please let me know if you wanna use any.:)
Good luck and if you have any questions about this tutorial (and not only), feel free to ask me.
Oh, and comments are love.:)
