I can't help it.
Today has been a pretty uneventful Saturday for us, although of course we are aware that it has been a huge event for people watching Miraculous on the US Disney Channel. I was surprised that their official Instagram even posted saying their whole day was booked, because they were going to watch the season six premiere and then spend the rest of the day thinking about it. ...It's actually slightly alarming that Disney is posting so positively about it, considering what happened once Disney started showing interest in Kingdom Hearts. Let's just say Kingdom Hearts III is not the strongest entry in the franchise...
Anyway, now that season six has officially started, I realize that all of our speculation is rendered utterly pointless, and yet I just can't stop doing it. We watched Heroes' Day today, and I couldn't help but notice something...
Right before Hawk Moth...or rather, Scarlet Moth akumatized Lila, he told Volpina to make Paris's nightmare a reality. Of course, when I heard that, I had to pay extra careful attention to see if Paris's nightmare in this episode was anything like our nightmare that is the Final Day. First, Volpina makes Ladybug into Public Enemy Number One, sort of like when she and Chat Noir "kidnap" Kagami and Adrien. Chat Noir is taken out of the picture, just like he is in Final Day. These are two things that turned out to not be real! We're hoping the similar events at the end of season five also turn out to not be real.
There are a bunch of other things that could have been foreshadowing season five. Chat Noir suggests that if Hawk Moth wants a ring so badly, maybe he could make his own. Ladybug is forced to fight alone against all of Paris, including supervillains with Miraculous superpowers. Of course, in season two, she had Chat Noir to help...
So yeah. I don't know. We might be on to something, or we might be reading way too much into stuff, and the answers may have already been revealed to the world! Eventually we'll find out. In the meantime, I might need to find something else to ramble about on LiveJournal... XD
Today I'm thankful for getting to see a flock of parrots, having strawberry jam again, Hershey's chocolate being on sale at the grocery store, having some rain in the forecast, and getting to watch Heroes' Day.
