More secrets
Work continues to be a bit daunting. Fortunately, we think we're on track to get our current assignment turned in on time, and we can almost certainly get the manga volume that's due this week finished on time... As for next week and the weeks after that...well, we're just not ready to look that far into the future. Things are not super heinous, though. At least not yet.
In the meantime, let's think about happier things. We opened up some more Miraculous Secrets cards! ...And we got two more of the card with Jess's secret on it. I feel like the prevalence of that card indicates that somebody out there thinks it's very important that we all know that Jess and Zoe are friends. Okay, okay, I get it! You know what would be pretty great? If Zoe went back to New York and got one of the North America Miraculouses, and then Chloe can get the Bee Miraculous back. I like that idea.
We also got a couple of Marinette's secrets. One was a "secret sketch" of...I think it said a skirt that she designed? I have cold vampire hands, and the secrets are revealed by the heat in your hands, so since I have no warmth in my hands, I have a really hard time getting the text to show up clearly. I did manage to get the sketch to show up, though, and it looked more like a dress than a skirt. I'm just going to say I read the card wrong.
The other one of Marinette's secrets we found out is that she knew she wanted to be a fashion designer when she had a dream where she designed a hat for the Eiffel Tower to keep it warm during the winter. If that isn't one of the cutest things we've ever heard... (Athena's guess is that she knitted that hat, since she dreamed of being the Knitting Fairy and all that. We still don't like the Wishmaker episode, but we've talked out our problems and come to terms with it.) (It's also symbolic of her desire to protect Paris. Awwww.)
Speaking of cute, we also got Ivan's secret! And it's also super adorable. Apparently he sings heavy metal lullabies to his little sister! We didn't know he had a little sister! I wonder if we would have seen her if Minotaurox had gotten a full episode...
Finally, we got Plagg's secret, which is that, in order to supply Plagg with all his cheese, Adrien had to convince Nathalie that he (Adrien) is obsessed with camembert. ...That's not really a secret, but it is also not something you'd necessarily think about unless it was pointed out to you. I do wonder how Adrien went about doing that. "I just need lots of cheese, Nathalie." And what does Nathalie think about it? I think this secret raises more questions than it answers...
Today I'm thankful for getting to learn more Miraculous secrets, getting enough work done that we don't have to start panicking yet, getting to watch some pretty great episodes of Fraggle Rock, warm blankets, and the image of the Eiffel Tower wearing a handmade hat.
