The only really noteworthy thing that happened in the last couple of days was the choir performance in sacrament meeting yesterday. In the director(Athena)'s words, "It was...not our finest hour." It really wasn't that bad. There were just a couple of minor hiccups, like having difficulty finding the right note at the beginning of a verse. The fourth verse was probably the worst, because it was the only one without an interlude before it, so out of the whole choir, there was only one brave tenor who started singing at the right time. And maybe a few less brave sopranos who are still learning how to project. But they all pulled it together, and the finale was nice.
Anyway, mistakes were made. Lessons were learned. We move on with our lives.
And then we start listening to new Percy Jackson audiobooks. We're on The Lost Hero now. We only had enough time to listen to three chapters, and I must admit, I am very curious to see where the story is going. And we're loving the French narration, as usual.
Today I'm thankful for reliable choir members, the sheep cookies they handed out in Relief Society, the Relief Society presidency remembering all the women (like me) who work in the Primary and therefore don't attend Relief Society, getting to start a fun new audiobook, and not-Entei being a lot more willing to stay in a Pokeball than Moltres.
