Wishful thinking
We had to adjust our plans when it turned out that the materials for the thing we were planning to translate today are not actually available. But that was pretty awesome, because the next thing on our translation to-do list is Miraculous manga! And it was great, because even after we took a break to play Pokemon with our nephew, we were actually excited to get back to work. Miraculous makes everything better.
It was a little bit surreal, working on the manga, because we're so used to watching it on TV that when she uses her Lucky Charm or catches the akuma, we're also very used to hearing the iconic music that goes with it. We don't have a Miraculous soundtrack... I remember looking for one many months ago and not finding one; I don't think there's one now, but... Okay, it looks like there's something on Spotify, but I'm not sure if it's official, and we don't actually use Spotify anyway. Oh my gosh, you guys, we're so old-fashioned, we still use CDs. But CDs are good, because they end, and when the CD ends, we know it's time to take a break. And if we don't take a break, our brains melt; we know this from experience.
Anyway. That was all just a long-winded introduction to suggest to the world the idea of something we've been wanting for a long time: a Miraculous character song album! Like they do for all the popular anime in Japan! Featuring the original French voice cast, of course.
Obviously there would have to be a song for Ladybug, and one for Chat Noir, and I think pretty much all the characters whose Miraculous is on the top level of Master Fu's Miracle Box, so Chloe, Alya, Nino, Gabriel, and Nathalie. And a duet between Plagg and Tikki! If we're really dreaming big, I would also like different songs for Marinette and Adrien. And a Ladybug/Chat Noir duet. If there's enough room, there could be a song or two from Kitty Section. ...It would be cool to have songs for Luka and Kagami, too. Oh, and a duet between Tom and Sabine! That would be so cute! And if they get a song, then Master Fu should get a song. Really, I think it would be awesome if everybody got a song. An Adrien/Plagg duet would be great, too! And then of course you'd want a Marinette/Tikki duet.
And then we would have the perfect album to listen to while we translate the Miraculous manga... Aaah... *wistful*
