Another lazy Sunday
We didn't have choir practice today, and it was Fast Sunday, so we didn't take time out to eat, so we ended up having way more time than we knew what to do with. That's not entirely true. We know what we're going to do with it: we're going to go to bed early! Tadah! Because we could use all the sleep we can get.
In the meantime, I really don't have very much to talk about...except for the fact that as I typed this, I must have hit a weird key or something, because suddenly an emoji menu popped up. That was weird. The word "emoji" amuses us, too, because we're pretty sure most people who use that word, at least in the English-speaking world, have no idea that the word "emotion" is not technically part of its etymology. It's Japanese for...we're not sure how to translate it exactly, actually. "E" is Japanese for "picture," and "moji" is Japanese for the symbols you make when writing (or use when typing). So it's basically Japanese for "making a picture using letters." But I'm sure the incorporation of "emotion" into the meaning would not be rejected.
We also continue to be our incorrigible selves. One of our sisters texted everybody a picture of the Maleficent cake her sister-in-law got for her mother-in-law's birthday, and my first thought was, "It could be better." I need to use more positive critiques, though, so I changed my evaluation to, "It's a good start." And then we spent a little while designing our own Maleficent cake. I think the most important thing is to use fudge (like ice cream hot fudge, but not hot) to pipe thorns onto it. ...And I think as long as that's done, I'd be happy, because I love me some cold hot fudge.
Today I'm thankful for another nice relaxing Sunday, having some discount post-Halloween candy to look forward to very soon, getting to use some extra honey packets from Chik-Fil-A on our cornbread this evening (all our other honey seems to have solidified...), our smartphones making it possible for us to be included on all the family texts, and cold hot fudge.
