I haven't updated in awhile. Basically because there haven't been much to say.
Today I had a meeting/interview with Melanie. She's my accounting teacher who I love so very much. The way she says things and motivates me makes my day feel so good. I realize that from here on in, I'm going to have to meet with her more often. She makes me so happy. She asked me today, as she did in the beginning of the year what I wanted to do next year(second year of business). In Business, during second year, you choose 1 of 4 areas that you want to specialize in. My answer to her was the same as it was in the beginning only this time it was a little different. "I still want to do accounting, but I don't know if I can." Of course, I think marks got a lot to do with someone hiring you. Melanie changed my mind and quickly told me that it's not all about marks. She said she have taught accounting for years and years and it's not all about marks. When hiring and giving someone a good reference, it's more then marks. She told me 3 things that are important and that I have to look at when choosing what I want to do next year.
1. Most important - how well you like what you are doing.
2. How committed and dedicated you are.
3. Marks
I LOVE accounting. Melanie says that I am very committed and dedicated to what I do. Also, my marks aren't terrible. They are good. BUT not as well as I want them to be. Apparently, I am the only student this semester that goes to her for help. Last year I was 1 of 5 who went to her. So through this she tells me that she knows how well I love accounting and how much I enjoys it. So guess what? We decided today that marks is not everything, and I'm going to do accounting!!! I'm just glad that I have found something that I love. At least I'm not wasting away my time like last year. That was a complete waste. CUTY. I don't even know why I did that. Anyway, Business is for me :) I went on a really big tangent last night telling Heather all the good stuff about Business. In the end, I think she got really bored. But, I have learned so much. This friging world cannot survive without Business. The end.
