Day's dawning, skin's crawling...

I think I have a mosquito bite on my palm. Pleasant.

Today was ridiculously uneventful. I dragged myself out of bed at 12:30, vowed not to eat the rest of the day [hooo boy did that go out the window, I need to get my will power back, wherever the hell it went] and piddled around for a bit doing laundry. Kicked back to watch tv and got sucked into the black hole that is first season re-run marathons of America's Next Top Model. So I was a slave to VH1 for an ammount of time I'm ashamed to reveal and eventually decided to [gasp] shower and do something finally got on around 5. Mom walked through the door at about 8 after meetings and we promptly turned right back around and went OUT the door to go to the grocery store. Saw Alex at Movie Gallery, he took me on a quick cigarette run and then brought me back, and Mom and I headed home.

Like I said, so thrilling I could cry.

But! There is good news amongst such bore.

For one, I have a job interview on Monday at McDonald's. I could care whether it's McDonald's or a five star hollywood joint, it's a job. I am, to say the least, excited.

For two....[drum roll please]....THE FOCUS IS FIXED. I am...in a state of ecstasy. I love the 3000 but the radio doesn't work [damn you radio theft code, damn you] and I so miss my CD player. The ease of an atuomatic is always nice as I can have hands free for radio and food. Now it's just a matter of when Lee decides to drop it off. I'm in such a frenzy about it that I just want to drive out there with mom and pick the damn thing up myself, but she says there's no point when Lee can just bring it out. Fine, fine. God I hope he brings it tomorrow. Hope hope hope.

So those two bits of information brightened up an otherwise dull Thursday. It's been raining since last night and was crummy and cold today, for June at any rate, so that didn't add to the excitement level either.

I'm excited about this summer. Getting to see people I don't see often or have yet to meet, Myrtle Beach and possibly Charlotte, if I can get it all worked through with Rana. The only two bad [well. not really bad, just not AWESOME] points of today were that I remembered that I have to go get a prescription refilled tomorrow and that eventually my report card with my grades and exam scores [ohgodprecal] will come in the mail. I'm not particularly anxious to see that.

I'm also not sure where my Fountainhead book for Mrs. Sorbyfirth went. I guess I have to buy a copy now. 704 pages of tiny print isn't my idea of summer fun but I'll cope. At least there's no work to go along with it.

Everyone's sort of dispersing for their various summer vacations/camps/things. Logan's visiting friends out west soon, Carson's going to Florida for marine biology camp, Nick's headed to Canada at some point, Travis will forever be at the beach, Tripp's off to govener's school, Camilla may or may not go to New York, Lindsay's got an internship at the college, etc etc. I'm fine being here for most of the summer though. The end of the summer is when most of the stuff I'm doing will happen, and most visits/trips will take place. I'm liking my summer schedule.

As soon as the weather starts to be nice I'm going to start running. I will, I really will. 10 pounds off by the middle of July if it kills me. Tomorrow I think I'll burn a CD and pray to the car-gods that Lee brings the Focus out sometime as well. This entry was way too long and I apologize. Goodnight!
