My boy loves to be cuddled and carried, which is fine, except that I find I need a third (and sometimes fourth) arm for various purposes - eat, hold his toys, eat, carry my bag, his diaper bag, pay for stuff when shopping, eat, so on and so forth. Which is why baby carriers are a God-send.
My friend-cum-colleague recommended the
Pupsik pouch and I love it! I love that it does not have the extra fabric that makes slings look bulky and messy to me (although I hear that they double really well as nursing covers). I also fear that rings will not hold the fabric firmly enough. The Pupsik pouch is like a mini-sarong that does not need to be adjusted in anyway. I also like that it is compact and I can just throw it into my bag, 'just in case', and can double as a nursing cover or a blanket.
Evan at his Baby Shower, slightly more than a month old
When I first tried it, Evan loved it. He would sleep soundly all snuggled up in it. He was barely a month old, and I think the cradle hold, all cocooned, made him feel secure. I went out with him a few times, and if he were fussy, would soon calm down if he were put in it. I even managed to nurse him in it while walking around.
Now that his neck is stronger, I put him in the front carry position and it saves my wrists and elbows which are showing signs of wear and tear.
My mum loves using it too! Wondering if I should get another to leave at her place.
