Y'ever wonder...?
I'm just amusing myself reading back in a couple of communities that I have recently joined. Do Masters/Dominants really think that we'll find their opinion more valid if the first thing they write in their profile is how many years of experience that they have?
I'll admit that I have mentioned on more than one occasion that I have been Lifestyle for more years of my life than years I have not, but it's not with a "subbier-than-thou" intent. I don't ever think I know all there is to know about WIITWD (What It Is That We Do) and freely admit it. It tended to be more of a joke on a previous site with the numbers of young subs in the chat room I frequented. Oh heck, I'd been a sub more years than a few of them had been alive!
I've gotten multiple messages where it's directly said "As a Master with 20 years of experience, I think..." and it just makes me want to laugh. B never felt the need to beat people over the head with the sheer number of years he'd been in the Lifestyle. I was the one who was proud of that, knowing I served someone who had had the opportunity to be exposed to and learn so much. This time he was the one with experience since before I was alive.
No real point to this post, just a gentle reminder that I get the chance to giggle at some who have found the One True Way. Maybe if I'm lucky, I'll find it too.
