Eureka's back! Man, I did NOT remember ANYTHING from last season (other than that Tess kicked ass and was doomed to be eliminated because the writers will never admit that their official ship sucks and is boring. But I didn't even remember the breaking up part. How long has it been? Feels like years.). Okay, so knew James Callis was joining the cast and was dreading it - I hated him on BSG (well, except for those times when his ridiculousness was so strong that it became hilarious. Which, granted, was quite often!), but I almost instantly liked him here. As soon as I got past his kinda cheesy 1940's schtick, anyway. Also, he's now a past person in the future of today, and I LOVE THAT SHIT! :D Although if he's there to be the third wheel (or fourth, now that Tess is awkwardly back) then I give it about 1 episode before I hate his ass worse than Stark. Atleast Stark was rrrrrreally snarky.
And then a new show (yay, shiny!): Haven. Now, having been horrified these last couple of months by not one, not two, but THREE awful weirdness-in-small town-shows (Happy Town, Persons Unknown, The Gates. Not to mention Eastwick last fall!) you can imagine how nervous I was. :p Actually no, you probably can't, I was REALLY nervous. I love the concept but so far the only shows that do it right is TB and TVD, and Eureka on the comedy side. I CANNOT SEE WHY THIS IS SO HARD.
Anyway, luckily it was actually not bad! It all depends on which way they go, but I could like this.
