Probably a good rule! I have a system instead, since I end up watching pretty much everything sooner or later anyway - I watch the pilot, decide if it A) is very promising and should be on my schedule, B) is terrible and should be mocked and then cancelled, or C) has some scrap of potential and if so I'll give it a few (3-5) episodes to convince me of whether it should be A or D) save and marathon later if it gets good buzz later on and I'm bored and have nothing to watch. :) Yeah, I feel like it has a number of issues and the tone is definitely one of them, it's all over the place and just feels very off, somehow.
Ugh, I hope not, it had better be something a little bit more creative than that! The scientists are a bit grating, they could be cute -SHOULD be even - but there's just something about them that irks me and I can't figure out why. And I kind of hate the soldier/agent guy (Wade? Ward? I feel like it's something with W?) and I hate that Skye is a double-agent or whatever.
Yeah I'm sticking with it until the end even if it sucks, I've missed having Whedon-dialogue (even in weird, not-quite-right form) on my screen.
