Playful party music for worried minds and uncertain futures

Okay, so, today in "things to destroy any remaining faith you had in humanity" news: A 23-year old is being denied life-saving heart transplant because he's autistic. I signed the petition, I never sign petitions but my god ... that is infuriating and despicable and nauseating, just to start with. Whoever made that decision needs to be sued for gross malpractice and probably some criminal charges as well, and then they need to be voted out of humanity and exiled from Earth, basically. Ugh, people suck.

So that's a depressing way to end an otherwise exhausting and unpleasant day (cat puke when I woke up and grocery shopping in rainforest-weather, nuff said! >_<). A few happy things, though:
  • Perception renewed for s2! *Pleased*. It's not my new fave or anything, but these days if I find a show I don't hate I cling to it like a barnacle.
  • New Yeasayer album. Wait, let me repeat that: NEW YEASAYER ALBUM AMIGAWD. Am listening to it now and my ears are happyhappy. And this should go great with my other current album-on-repeat, Passion Pit's Gossamer, too! Also hah, I love this line from the linked article: "It makes playful party music for worried minds and uncertain futures." In other words: TAILOR-MADE FOR YOURS TRULY. I'm so making a playlist with that name. (And that does totally apply to Passion Pit too, doesn't it?) Music! <3
  • I am still geeking out ridiculously over my new comp. THE GRAPHICS, MAN, THE GRAPHICS! It's just, I've never cared about this stuff before, I have extensive training in watching things in crappy quality to the point where I don't even notice it anymore, and now all of a sudden it's like someone told me I was nearsighted and handed me some glasses. Whatttt! Why would anyone want to be out in the real world when computers can do this?! Real life, you are officially totally obsolete to me - thanks for playing but technology has it from here. If anyone wants me I'll be in the reality THAT HAS DRAGONS.

Anyone wanna geek out over something with me? Anything! I feel there needs to be more geeking on LJ, a lot more. And also fangirling and squeeing and flailing. Otherwise what is LJ even for?
