So, the other day when I had my little dressing room-torture inspired epiphany, I pounded up the 2 flights of stairs to my apartment pretty hard on the way home, or in other words: I took the stairs rather than the elevator and somehow managed to not pass out from the effort. Appearantly that, in addition to the short walk to the store, was plenty enough to give my unfit ass some major exercise pain because my calves are killing me. AND PEOPLE WONDER WHY I DON'T WORK OUT. Seriously, I know that whole "body isn't used to it" speech, I know it by heart, but what the simple parts of my brain (ie: most of my brain) is getting is that exercise = PAIN. And also sweat, which I'm possibly even less of a fan of. So yeah, it would be a lot easier to exercise if my body didn't scream "STOP, STOP! GO LIE DOWN IN FRONT OF A FAN AND EAT SOME ICE CREAM BEFORE YOU KILL US BOTH!" at my brain every time I tried.

Meanwhile, since there wasn't much on TV today, I tried out Perception. It was a bit all over the place, but overall I liked it because: neuro-babbling! And I mean, especially after Lie to Me was cancelled there's been a big "procedural where a rude maverick solves crimes with sciency methods"-shaped hole that needed filling, not that it ever actually gets full because there's always room for more of that in my life. Rachel Leigh Cook (henceforth forever known as RLC because no way am I typing all that) is one of those people that I either find adorable or reeeeally freaking annoying to the point where I want to stab her stupid little chipmunk face, but luckily I mostly seem to dig her here. Actually Eric McCormack is sort of in the dude version of that same category, and I think I prefer him doing straight up comedy but I might grow to like him here, in time? I guess I'm going to have to since I'm definitely planning on shipping the crap out of him/RLC. Finally: one of those super-rare (former) teacher/student relationships that isn't creepy or wrong or gross! With the added delightfulness of a crazy person/somewhat normal person ship! I *have* to get on that ship, I just have to, that is not an easy type of ship to find.

I weirdly dig the shrink-ex girlfriend, especially once she turned out to be an hallucination (but even before then, too). Less crazy (ha, pun not intended) about the other hallucinations, but atleast they're not singing and dancing or something. Also it was a bit unclear in the pilot that the guy who showed up at his house actually WAS an hallucination, but maybe that was just me being dense. Also like the assistant, but not Jamie Bamber aka the oh-so-obvious third point of the inevitable love triangle. >_<

Futurama was weird this week, IDK, half of the episode felt like it was on fast forward and the other half I got deja vu-feelings? Dunno what was up with that. Also, Leela with her hair down is just WRONG, like, fundamentally wrong. Never show me that again, Show. Ever.
