Weird day of weirdness. Not in any particular way, just ... weird. Oh well, almost over now!

So as things turned out I had a lot of options, TV-wise, tonight. And instead of choosing, I decided to watch ALL THE THINGS! Except New Girl, because by the time I got there I was too tired. No TV-watching stamina anymore! I tells ya, I'm getting old. :/

H5-0/NCIS:LA:

I *love* crossovers! I don't care that they're gimmicky and cheap ploys to draw viewers from one show to another (or ideally both ways), in fact - that is why I like them. Especially procedurals, for obvious reasons, but really, there is no show that would not benefit from a crossover episode. Why don't shows do them more? They are super-rare! I can only think of a handful the past couple of years, especially between non-franchise shows.

Although, to be fair, the thing that made this worth while for me wasn't so much the crossover-yness as it was the EPIC Deakes/Kenzi flirting it provoked. Really, I have to use the word epic there again, because the only other word I have for it is "near-inappropriate", and me calling on-the-job flirting inappropriate? The universe shudders at the mere thought! But yeah, it was ALMOST to the point where I was like "Um, guys, you're working. Focus.", which is not a reaction I ever want to have to hot bickering.
If there's never any more crossovers with this show, I would be okay with them just bringing in "hot" guest cops every other week and watch the jealousy snark fly. I would be verrrrry okay with that.

PS: Is McGarrett still in rehab? Getting pretty silly now, they couldn't have thought of a better way to write him out for a bit? Or have him shoot a quick phonecall at Betty Ford, atleast?

Eureka:

THANK GOD THAT'S OVER. *Still shuddering from the nightmare vision of Jo seducing Jack* I love how squicked out he was about it, but I wish we'd have seen her be squicked too. Maybe later?
Awesome to have the awful virtual reality situation gone so soon, I really didn't expect that. I think I *did* sort of expect Holly to die, or atleast I never thought she's be around this long (I think her appearance was first announced as a "short arc"), and also Felicia Day does have a tendency to die a lot. ;) Still very sad, I really liked her character and Felicia Day is awesome :( Oh well, I feel like The Guild is due a new season soon-ish, so I should get my adorableness-fix that way.

Not sure what they have left to do now, the rest of the season, but if all they do is the same old Eureka hijinks I won't complain a bit. Let the show go out doing what it does best, which is NOT arcs or big epics. And there's still some resolving of issues to do, and Zane and Jo needs to make out a bunch and Zane needs to wear all his tight t-shirts. <3
I do hope this is the last we saw of Beverly and Senator Wen - I really liked their endings. Specially Wen's, obviously. I only wish Bev had programmed the virtual reality to be even worse, I have loads of ideas as to how! (Most of them involve watching Holly die, Jack/Jo kiss - although she probably shipped that, so maybe it wouldn't work - or some sort of hellscape or another.)

Cougar Town:

Hahaha, Pig Trials, I *WOULD* totally watch a show with that name! As long as it was made by the crew of Cougar Town. Favorite favorites: Travis and Holly making out (hopefully paving the way for Travis/Laurie, because no way that can seem so bad after Travis/the mother of Jules' fiance's secret child, right?), Travis and Grayson bonding... Actually, everything except the racist storyline cause that wasn't all that great. But best of the best was the tag obviously, if/when CT is cancelled they totally have the premise for their next project there. XD Ugh, I really hope this show isn't cancelled, you guys. I heart it so much. SO MUCH.
