*Unintelligible groan.* I'm trying to basically straighten up and fly right in all areas at once, or most anyway, and it's ... not going well. Why is it that my 3 year old self is always calling the shots in my brain? And why is wrestling with that 3 year old SO HARD? It's like a tiny toddler Hulk! And right now it's very angry! And like, I wish there was a way to make these changes and be BAD about it, because I dunno, the feeling that I might actually be doing something good/right/healthy? That's a surprising amount of distressing to me. It's not like I'm a rebel, I mean, unless someone is telling me what to do or think, but this is ME telling me what to do! That should be fine, shouldn't it?! Ugh, my brain, so obsessed with logic and yet...

Meanwhile, TV was goooood today wasn't it? I think I liked most ... possibly even ALL the episodes I watched! How often does that happen?! I have so much to say, so: minor essays ahead!

Flashpoint: Okay, full disclosure, 50% of my enjoyment of this show now comes from how much it makes me think about RB. I can't help it, they talk a whole bunch about relationships on the job, undercover, Guns and Gangs, and then there's those uniform cops running around in the background and even though they have different style uniforms I still find myself picturing them as RB folks and imagine what they're thinking about the SRU team coming in and stealing all the glory. I bet Sam and Oliver had a field-day mocking them! And there may or may not be an entire crossover fic happening in my brain, okay, which ends up with Oliver bonding with Keith Mars (he'll always be Keith Mars to me!) and them becoming BFFs and the two Sams have a handsome-off (Swarek wins, duh) and Andy and Jo exchange hairstyle tips.
Ahem. So yeah, that's going on, and that's a large part of why I dig this show. But, but, this was a good episode! I was just waiting for either the bride or groom to get shot in the beginning there, and then nope, it's the best man! And then there was a whole bunch of stuff about undercover and then I'm sure lots of interesting things happened while I was imagining Sam and Andy to have been on that undercover op (together, obviously). Hey, Ben Bass was in an early episode of this show, AS AN UNDERCOVER COP, there's no unlinking these two shows for me okay? This is how it is.

The Good Wife: No Eli this episode, but that was made up for and then some by the glorious Lawyer-Arlene. I LOVE HER. I remember that I loved her, but damn, I love her so much more when she's on "our" side! Cause you do not want to be on the opposing team with her, she is BADASS. I laughed so hard at the end there, that poor dude's face when she told him, hahaha, and then Alicia bringing it home with the most innocent retelling of events. "Look at all this paper!" HAHA. HIS FACE! Best.
Also digging Caitlin but am a bit worried she's gonna stab Alicia in the back at some point. I dunno, maybe it's just her being Sarah Newlin, but she just has that look about her like she's gonna be trouble. I want her to be cool, I'd love it if Alicia actually got to mentor someone for reals. Especially now that hanging with Kalinda is out (when are they gonna make up already?!).

The Walking Dead: Oh my gawd, I think they may have actually managed to gross me out with this one, I mean REALLY gross me out. And yeah, no they definitely did. Still cannot think about that without getting nauseous (so that's actually helping the dietary part of my shaping up and being good! Thanks, show!), and I say that as someone whose favorite part of L4D is shooting the Boomers. He totally looked like a Boomer too, but he did not go pop like they do. Hrugh, so gross, nope, don't wanna think about it! LALALA, MOVING ON.
Darryl and Glenn = officially 100% the only reasons to watch this show, and atleast they're picking up the slack where all the other characters fail. I mean, I'm pretty sure it's only a matter of time before the writers turn them into whiny or awful people too, because that shit's more Infectious than a zombie virus, but until then they're are absolutely making it worth stomaching grossness and bad writing.

Lost Girl: Good ep, a bit Disney at parts, but I mean, they make up for that in boobs and stripper-dancing and sex? *Shrugs* It all balances out in the end. And more importantly, PLOT! Like, actual arc-plot! It was hidden in there pretty sneakily, but I saw it! Some sort of something that triggers blind rage? Can you say zombie episode?! :D And meanwhile Kenzi spoke Russian, and was generally adorable as usual, so lets just leave it at that and not get into Bo and her SOs and all that boring mess, shall we?

Once Upon a Time: I ... thouroughly enjoyed that! I mean really! If I sound surprised it's because I am, I didn't expect to like this show beyond a sort of casual "fine, I'll watch it because it's fantasy and I do dig fairy tales" type of thing, and yet here we are and I like it! I like it a lot! The thing is, I entirely expected them to write Snow and Charming like Disney-characters, straight-up Mary Sues the both of them, and nothing from the previous episodes really convinced me that assumption was wrong. And then boom, here we are, Snow White being badass and living on her own, saving HIS life both once in Fairyland and in RL! And he's ... actually kind of cute, and does know how to work a tight pair of pants, and basically, I ... could ship that? Not in an all-consuming, Sam/Andy sort of way, of course, but I mean ... I could be interested in that. I might actually already BE interested in that. So yeah, well played on that front, show! *Invisible hat*
Also, it must be said even though his character was sort of a drag: DAVID ANDERS! Why doesn't that dude have a show of his own already?

Man, I mention RB a lot in this post, so much that I think I'm gonna have to tag it as such. I'm sorry, okay people? I thought for sure this madness would die down as soon as fall hit and I settled into the long, looong hiatus, but nope, still have my head full of this show.

tv: rookie blue (is dead to me), tv: the good wife, tv: the walking dead, tv: flashpoint, tv: once upon a time, tv: lost girl
