And then all the TV came back, all on the same day! I only got through half, gotten lazy in the head over the summer and can't seem to process anymore plot of any kind right now. Will have to retrain myself in watching a lot of things at once!
Eureka: This was one hell of a messy, disjointed episode, IDK. It was like someone took 5 Eureka episodes and then just cut them together at random? It was weird, basically, except for when it was predictable or stupid. Myeah, no, I guess I should be happy they're making the cancellation easy on me, maybe they're doing it on purpose.
PS: No amount of set-up or reasonable build-up could ever make me understand Jo's choice not to jump all over Zane, but: that doesn't mean you don't try at all, writers. Atleast make an effort of having your characters actions make sense?
2 Broke Girls: I had a feeling I'd like this, without really having seen any clips or knowing much about it or being familiar with the actors (I think I've seen one movie with Kat Dennings in it?). And I did like it, slightly less than expected but I liked it. It could benefit from a few more regular characters, hopefully they'll introduce that later, maybe some more rich people for Max to snark at. Or really anything more than just random employees at the boring diner. But yeah, overall: Good. Decidedly good.
Kat Dennings is so hot, BTW, that just needs to be said.
Castle: I'm sorry, I do love this show, but all I could think about during this episode was how much Nathan Fillion needs to go to the gym. I'm sorry but if you're gonna be the male lead on a show, you can not be having moobs! That's not how TV works, it's too distracting. And not in a good way! Atleast wrap them up or put on a sportsbra or something! I don't need him to be skinny or super-buff or anything, the very fact that he's Nathan Fillion is what makes him weirdly hot in some sort of attractive-but-not-sexy kind of way - I just don't want to be distracted by jiggling where there should not be jiggling.
And I now realize I've written an entire paragraph on the subject of Nathan Fillion's boobs and feel appropriate creeped out by this, so I'm gonna stop. Good episode otherwise, if a little reset-buttony.
How I Met Your Mother: It makes me sad to say, but when future!Ted was all "we're a long way from the end of the story", all I felt was annoyed and tired. :/ This show's just running on fumes, as much as I wish it wasn't! The actors are terrific, the writing still occassionally has some zing but it's just run its course, there's no getting around that. I hope they get cancelled soon, but in time to write a proper ending. Maybe a pickup for one final season. In which it's revealed that Barney is marrying Robin and Ted's future wife turns out to be someone more exciting than that chick he cheated on 5 years earlier.
