Grrh, I'm so ... grrrh. Frustrated, I guess is the word. Televisiony frustrated mostly, because Monday is usually my favorite TV day of the week and this week every one of my shows left me pretty unsatisfied. :/ It's not like any of the shows are exactly BAD, the episodes weren't bad, it's just that they weren't good either. And most importantly, they're not nearly as good as they COULD be, and that just pisses me off.
Failyness in bullet-form:
- Falling Skies keeps playing up the sobby family angle too hard and there is nowhere near enough Skitter-action (I especially want to see more of the mech-thingies because those scare the CRAP out of me). Also needing more screentime Maggie, who is clearly the secret daughter of Batman and Supergirl. She fights! She shoots! She beat cancer! She delivers babies! Seriously, if this show was about her I would be sooo into it.
- Leverage spent an entire episode chasing after a POTATO, and while I understand the intention of comic effect there, it just mostly made me want to go play Portal 2 and eat some chips. :/ This show is stuck in a rutt, which okay, that happens, but what I can't get jiggy with is them completely ignoring Parker and Hardison. They're not even stopping at just Bonesing them (yeah that's a word now, obviously it means putting a couple together by saying "hey, lets get together after X seasons of WTOWT off camera and then not act like a couple at all"), because before they supposedly got together they atleast had fake-out make-outs every now and then. Or you know, just, scenes together.
- The Glades is still awesome, but they've been slacking a bit the last 2 episodes now which is making me a little sad. Atleast this episode didn't have Jim inexplicably suddenly acting like an ass, I guess that's something...
- In Plain Sight? Hey, remember when you were all exciting and had actual life-and-death situations (usually leading to adorable moments between Mary and Marshall, or Mary generally being badass)? Can we have that again please? Or atleast some interesting CotWs.
- Lastly True Blood, which was just about as meh as I expected. It's the 5th episode of the season, it usually sucks and I guess I atleast have to give them props for consistency. The only highligths of the episode was the Mickens finally biting the dust, Alcide in a tanktop and Sookie and Eric kissing. Although I dunno how much I actually ship them when Eric's not himself, it's just not as much fun when she doesn't want to punch him in the face. :/ Oh well, they're hawt and way more interesting than Sookie/Bill, so whatever I guess. But yeah, overall: yawn.
Also annoying: There's a major sporting event going on here (an orienteering competition with people appearantly flying in from all over the world just to run around and punch tickets outside my balcony), and along with the usual summer activities here it means lots of people and noice. I want my town back. >_>
Right, I don't feel *quite* as annoyed and frustrated as I could be, so I'm gonna go lose some more BGs in WoW now.
