one way, or another - i'm gonna find ya

Hehe I don't need to alter my maxi dress! It falls right to slightly below my ankles, how lucky am I plzzzz~~ (very very very lucky) It makes my booty look huge though, and the chest pads (bra pads) are like muthafucking huge like for EE sized boobs and it's not flattering but I don't care I love it very much so I will wear it everywhere.

Eh today was spent running around Clarke Quay and Bugis, but I think the most epic thing I did was scouring the whole of JP for the kway teow that my dad bought. It's basically like the kway chap's kway with the braised egg, tofu and taupok except these are his directions:
"The west of Jurong Point, on the inside, near the exit. The shop selling 包子。" I also knew it was $2 and NOT in kopitiam but somehow I don't really trust my father (never trust someone who tells you 'west in Jurong Point', wtf, who gives directions like that) and I didn't see the kway at the Pau shop so I decided it must be at kopitiam...since he ate there yesterday before buying the kway. Logically, you will dabao from the same place that you eat, right???? So I headed up to Kopitiam but their kway was $3.70! So that wasn't it...then I went to that JP extension to check out the Westlake 扣肉包 shop but that wasn't it either...so I went out of Jurong Point to check the Kopitiam there and the kway was $4!!

Do you have any idea how stupid it is to ask, 'Auntie, do you sell the kway chap without the pig innards'??? It's like kway chap without the chap. So anyway...I checked almost everywhere including ananas cafe (insert long-running joke about how they can't afford the b in bananas) at the MRT station and all those cheap $2 MRT food shops before I went back to Pao to ask whether they have kway teow... only to be told it was out of stock today!!! And it's $2!!!

So I got Mr Bean in the end (no surprises there) but it feels good to know that:
a) My father is a dependable (however vague) source of information...halfway through I was beginning to think maybe he bought the $4 kway and then ate half of it before passing it to me, hence the $2 pricetag
b) It never hurts to ask SO ASK JUST ASK OK SAVE YOURSELF THE EMBARASSMENT AND SAVE YOUR LEGS THE TORTURE

Why are all my long entries about food?

To make it less food-centric, I woke up with swollen eyes again... I think I might be punching myself in my sleep, there is no other explanation for this strange phenomenon. Maybe I can guest star on Fringe.

Also, I had another round of Baikohken ramen today!! After 2 rounds of trial and error, I'm pretty sure my favorite ramen combi is: Butter Corn Miso Ramen + Egg + Charsiu. The shio base was nice but a bit too salty for my liking. Ya okay ttyl
