sleepy maggie
So there was an urgent need for some extra help in the wards last night. So being that I am always willing to take on extra hours for extra money, I agree to split the shift with Colleen. So I worked 2am-7am. Got home last night at 9pm, had shower, had a poor night's sleep from 930pm-1am, and have pretty much been up ever since.
The shift was CRAZY. Morning of death. 2 horses down, with no break between them. So once 7am rolled around, I changed back into my jammies and went to the cafeteria.... to study. for 930am anatomy quiz. Which I actually didn't do to bad on.
As the day progressed I became more and more loopy. Reached my nuttiest right before cardiology lab.
Which means in cardiology lab I crashed. COMPLETELY fell asleep.
And apparently Dr O'Grady tried to get a class vote/opinion... as I did not raise my hand, he goes "And what about the girl in purple? Oh, I guess she has nothing to say." or something... yeah, I completely slept through that. Until break, woke up, got a snack, had every member of my group giggle when they saw me and tell me the story :P
At the end of lab I went and apologized for sleeping.. he said he didn't mind at all, but thanked me for saying something about it (I was sitting in the front row.... so even if I hadn't known he had tried to ask me a question and had met with complete non-responsiveness, I would've felt the need to apologize..)
Yeah. So heading to bed super early tonight. Christie gave me a ride home (well, her boyfriend did) because I just was not feeling the energy to walk it, and she felt sorry for me ;P I think I'll have a wee dinner, get everything ready for work (8am-2pm tomorrow) and pretty much turn on a movie to fall asleep to.
I can't wait for Sunday morning. Sleep in central.
