home sweet home
Well, I returned from housesitting Saturday night. Was an exhausting weekend though, and it's amazing how messy my room got when I wasn't living in it... so I'm still trying to catch up with my life right now ;P
Anyhow, I brought Stewie back home Thursday morning, worked the late shift, went "home" and had an early night... because Friday I worked the earliest shift :P With good reason though... it was time for the monthly meet up of drunken knitters :)
So, yeah, went to Toronto Friday night, had an awesome time knitting, eating, drinking, and chatting with some fantastic knitters :) Then I went to a friend's place to stay the night (so I didn't have to stress over not missing the last bus back to Guelph), and met her 2 absolutely adorable kittens.
Saturday morning I went to Lettuce Knits, got some yarn for my secret pal, and then headed to the bus station. Only I had made a mistake in writting out my directions, and long story short, I walked around downtown Toronto for a total of over 3 hours, in midday heat/sun, Saturday. My feet were so sore, and bleeding it turned out...oops.
Anyhow, got back to Guelph just in time for someone to come see my house about the room we have to rent... then I went back to the house I was house sitting at to pack up my stuff, clean up, and such.
Then I pretty much crashed at home :P Well, crashed in front of the computer and finally finished season 2 of House ;)
I worked Sunday, and at work I caught up with some emails... and at home I did mad cleaning. Room is still ridiculously disasterous, but much more liveable at least...
Been getting some random stuff taken care of as well - finally filled out my 06/07 OSAP application, clipped all the kitty claws, brushed Fluff (he DESPERATELY needed it...got a grapfruit sized ball of fur out of him!), have *finally* blocked my dad's sweater (he's coming to visit next weekend, so the push is on the do the finishing this week!) so I can hopefully start seaming that together tomorrow..
Anyhow, stills lots and lots to do. Just finished BBQing some chicken and making mashed potatoes for my dinners this week. Have the laundry drying on the line. Have so much crap strewn about my room I don't even know where to begin :S It's getting to be over 30 without the humidex though, and every time I go outside to BBQ or check on the laundry or whatever, I want to have another cold shower :P not looking forward to the bike to work (will be leaving at 330pm, when the day should be nice and super gross :P)
