Take Two
Things have been pretty great lately. I visited Chicago this past weekend, watched Canada lose a soccer game (sad Jen), ate at my beloved Handlebar and pastry shopped in Greektown.
I shot two rolls with my holga. Now just waiting for some cash flow after my mini-vaca and the time to drop them off for developing. I miss the darkroom.
I started second summer session this morning, including my final undergrad art history course surveying modernism and the much anticipated Public Speaking. I actually gave my first introduction speech today and it went quite well. Now hopefully I won't say anything rude to the military gentleman in the class who stated that he loved legal aliens and hated illegal aliens. It's funny after you've spent so many years holed up in "art school", that when you're forced to interact with the rest of the campus you feel oddly out of place.
I've been avoiding checking my grades from last session. Although I feel I did well in my classes, I slightly have that underhanded feeling of paranoia that I didn't do as well as I had thought and I won't be able to graduate this coming August. I may actually have to do this within the next few minutes. Now that I'm thinking about it, it is completely stressing me out to not know.
Summer is passing by far too fast, but before it even started I knew it wouldn't feel like other summers. I'm going to try to up my hours at work (which seems nearly impossible considering how much time I already do work). I really want to save up. I started writing down all the things I need to purchase over the next few months and the list just keeps on growing.
I may be going to Holiday World this weekend! I'm really really excited about waterslides and rollercoasters.
