Ok, time for Watchmen movie talk

- we got god awful trailers in our theater. I liked Pandorum when it was called Event Horizon and Terminator: Salvation looked FUCKING DISTRACTING.

- the death of the Comedian was done panel for panel ( as was a lot of the movie much to my joy) and the opening credits were awesome and really the best way of explaining the back story to the audiance that wasn't famillier with the comic

- I was a big old nerd and was like "ahhhhh! I know him! I get him copies " when Costume Design by Michael Wilkinson appeared on screen

-while they did have stuff they changed and/or left out of the movie, it never felt like it made the movie any less true to the source.

-"I'm not locked in here with you. Youre locked in here with ME!" we had a pretty quiet audiance, but EVERYONE cheered after that scene

-giant monster destroying NYC would have been a bit too much so I'm glad that got changed.

- I'm REALLY glad no big named actors were cast for this. Jude Law and Jennifer Aniston running around as super heroes would have been a bit too much. It was a lot easier to view these people as their characters.

- Rorsach (batman voice aside) the Comedian and Dr. Manhatten were the best actors though.

-big blue dong. That's all I'm saying.

-boobs! Blood! Butts! I wonder how many folks took their Spiderman loving kids to see it.

-so it was no dark knight, but I did enjoy it. I can't speak for non- comic fans though
