Thank god the SOACC is open again. I just spent about 5 hours in here, working on a design for ASUW's Husky Tee design contest. The design is supposed to embody "what it means to be a Husky." I have a coupel more ideas on paper, but this is more accomplished vector work I have for now:
I had a couple of different ideas about text & placement:
1)
2)
I think it's pretty evident that I'm a Drawing major, not a Design major.
I can't believe how rusty I have become with typography and with Illustrator!
Entries are due at 5pm tomorrow, so I still have time to work on it, and I can submit multiple designs.
I'm not really confident and not expecting to win or anything, but it's a good experience.
Another round of Beginning Painting started today; I think I'm going to like David a lot. He's funny.
Check out his work.
I was thinking of dropping Ceramics, but when I showed up, the waitlist was almost twice the capacity of the class. If it's that in-demand, it can't be too bad, so I'm sticking with it. Ceramics is about the only medium I have yet to try, it should be fun.
Denzil's Intermediate Painting class tomorrow. Go go go spring quarter.
