Yesterday I made Martha Stewart's
Outrageous Chocolate CookiesThey are chock-full of dark chocolate (the recipe calls for semi-sweet but at the amount the recipe called for, dark chocolate was financially a wiser choice), and I already had four, and I only woke up two hours ago. (In between the first cookie and the three afterwards, I had a brunch

could there maybe be some other kind of sub-conscious reason to took a longer break than you meant to?-- thanks, but no, I was just being lazy and stupid.
I like the idea of sticking the entries to places I'd see them often! I'll do that next holiday! I think by then I'll be looking for jobs and writing out applications and things though, so I won't have to worry about finding something productive to do over the break. Because if I don't I'll have nowhere to go after I graduate!
Is there a reason you can't work at you old high school next year instead?-- I'm trying to get a license for both high school and middle school teaching, and I guess because the middle school license is harder to get (requires more courses, more studying etc), I have to go to my middle school rather than my high school.
Ah. That makes sense... I would also dislike having to think about an outfit every time I go. But we aren't completely relieved of those kinds of worries because as much as there is a uniform suit that we all have to wear, there are different variations. The one I got had wierdy little diamond-cut buttons and a little frilly thing on the hem of the skirt, which I was worried about, but got it anyway because I was in a rush. But you're right, it does make things easier that every part of it is so formalised. (I'm starting to see the reason why Japanese people have no individuality-- it's because every teeny little thing is decided for us!)
I'm glad too! If she weren't so nice and friendly and understanding of my size issue (they only had four sizes-- yeah it was THAT kind of store-- and I was the largest one, which they didn't even have within the premises of the store. she actually had to go somewhere else in the mall, some storage place to dig my size out!) it would have been an awful awful experience. I mean really awful. I really let these things get to me.
Thank you! And I DID! Yesterday! I spent all morning fretting about the call. There was some confusion and we ended up talking on the phone three times, but it worked out okay. I went to hand them the papers and it wasn't so bad. I wasn't great but I definitely didn't embarrass myself as much as I thought I would!
