What a way to start the weekend....
So, I'm lying in bed on a Saturday morning. It's not yet 9:00am and I'm desperately attempting to pretend that I'm still asleep, even though I know I should be getting up and getting stuff done.
The phone rings and I get up and go to answer it. It turns out to be shenya with a fairly heftly bombshell.
It turns out that a couple of people have quit New Menegroth suddenly. One of those is Erestor (*Doth stops polishing poem in praise of Erestor and his tavern*)
The other is Andi. I can't even refer to him by his lj name as I normally would because he has deleted that as well. And his website. Fitz has also pulled the plug on his lj, so I can't attempt to get in touch that way.
You know, when a mod picks up and leaves with no warning I take it as a bad sign. Now call me Captain Oblivious, but I honestly hadn't noticed any problems in the game. I didn't when a chunk of people left near the beginning and I sure as heck didn't see this one coming.
Andi's gone??? I'm having serious difficulty processing this. It's going to leave a serious hole in the game. After all, not only is he a mod but he's also playing Irmo, Elwë Thingol, Gandalf, Imrahil and Thorondor

What does this say about kali921? Two of her characters have just managed to misplace their husbands. :)

Andi's a fairly inspirational guy and I am really going to miss his presence both in the game and here on lj. I hope he comes back. Soon, or at all.
In the meantime, I sitting here stunned and shellshocked. Wondering if I've got the enthusiasm to write more character stuff with Aza during the day or to ring Tux and do more plotting and scheming tonight.
