Matt Smith is fantastic, he has the zany, he has the gravitas, he has something uniquely Matt Smith + Eleven. He is AMAZING. Karen Gillan is utterly utterly wonderful and AMY POND IS SMART AND FUNNY AND GUTSY and I love her thiiiis much and I love Rory and I loved this idea of the Doctor traveling with two companions, a couple. Oh, my thing for trios. And I was rather UPSET when they killed Rory and Amy didn't even remember him. No no no no no we can't be having that. /o\ This is the show of wacky adventures and hope along with the sadness and I hated the idea of Amy not being able to have it all, having to choose between having adventures, her raggedy doctor, and the love of her life -- sometimes those are not embodied in the same person but they are equally important.
Centurion!Rory, guarding Amy for 2,000 years, Rory wanting a "ridiculous miracle." RORY IS ADORABLE.
Amelia! Drawing the stars which were gone. How perfectly that tied back to Van Gogh and the starry night moment, JFC, I'm tearing up again just thinking about it.
