None of this will be particularly coherent.

OH GOD. KRIPKED LIKE I'VE NEVER BEEN KRIPKED BEFORE. Including Lucifer invading Sam's dreams. [Or if you don't want to read 23,000 words of fic, there was meta (careful of the His Dark Materials spoilers in the upper section of that post).]

That was sooo surreal watching that.

NICK WAS JUST THE PLAN B. Sam is the main prize, what Azazel and Ruby groomed him to be. ahsdjfklaljkl;kjdal;

*breathes*

Oh, Sam. Half naked and angsting with a single perfect tear. The montage of him and Dean doing their similar-yet-separate things. Sam trying to just...go about daily living. Lindsay is FABULOUS and I want her to come back. "What was your poison?" Sorry she was used as hostage but at least she didn't die.

Badass Sam Winchester is one of my favorite flavors. Also we see here why he grounded himself, he's still teetering on the edge and it wasn't the blood that did it to him.

But he says "there is hope." More and more of Sam is coming back; this is the Sam who once said "hope's kind of the whole point." ♥ ♥ ♥

I was sorry Jessica wasn't a construct of Sam's mind he used to protect himself against Lucifer, but a Lucifer construct. That makes me sad. Seeing Sam and Jess like that was heartbreaking and having her be not really the Jess that lives in his head, that's kind of...really horrible.

eta The fact that Lindsey, the real girl in the here and now actually helps him and connects with Sam, while the image of Jess, a ghost of the past, turns out to be false, I think is significant.

*another deep breath*

Dean and Castiel. I. They. askasdfghjklsdfghjklsdfghjkldfg

Can't brain.

eta Personal space! \o/

They're alone in that house and it's possibly Castiel's last night on earth and Dean says so, anything you feel like doing? Okay, okay and also, so Dean says Castiel won't die a virgin on his watch and the trip to the whorehouse is an utter fail and the next thing we know it's cut to the next morning. (Dean, you know what you have to do!)

Hi show, thank you for the lovely gift basket of slashiness.

Also, please, tell me someone else noticed this, with Raphael blew out the windows, Dean and Castiel hunched in towards each other and Castiel did a protective sort of grab?

Castiel being equal parts completely hapless and lost and then utterly badass.

Dean's speech at the end, well. Despite his thing about how he's had more fun with Castiel in the last 24 hours than he's had with Sam in years. *snort* That's not an affirmation of my slash ship, that's an affirmation of my gen otp. First off, there's no way Dean is happy, Jensen played that like Dean's contentment was pasted on yaye. I think he is genuinely relieved not to be agonizing about Sam every minute and maybe Dean thinks this is what he wants but I don't think we're meant to believe that. Also, Dean says "now that I'm on my own" and Castiel is sitting right there next to him. Dean's not letting him in at all, and I noticed first Castiel gives him a look like, uhh sure whatever you say and then that he vanishes pretty quickly after Dean says he's on his own. Like, okay then, you're alone, bye. It's fashionable right now to claim that the show wants Dean to replace Sam with Castiel but from that scene, I'm getting that Dean is not at all interested in replacing Sam with ANYBODY. Alone Dean is alone.

Wow, that was a lot of tl;dr considering I don't feel like I have a deep thought in my head right now.

I kind of love this show.
