These are wonderful -- I love how you've used the theme in each one to create a perfect little moment. Lovely.

Wow-- really fabulous, all three of them.

I especially loved this line, knowing he made this, the young hand that should be trembling around the gun but isn't.

Where are all the drabble writers coming from? Summer vacation break? I've been practically the only one writing in this community for months now. :0

Ooh, thank you! So happy you liked that line.

Maybe it's the rain keeping everyone indoors and needing to be entertained?

I just kind of stumbled across the comm, but I write drabbles on my own anyway. Because hey, drabbles! :) But the comm seemed like such a nice way to keep the creativity flowing to have the challenges each week.

*sniffle* Oh you wonderfully fucked-up Winchesters. How I adore you.

These are amazing; short, concise with a great emotional wallop. Wow.

Wow, thanks!

It's because I love them I'm so cruel....

Oh, god, these are beautiful. So sharp.

The Dean drabble stands out for me. I love the setting, I love how you connected the sense of drowning to the aftermath of his confession to Cassie, and I truly love how you wrapped it up at the end. I was watching JA play that in my head, and it all flowed so naturally. Just a wonderful job.

(Heck, I just need to say this, because there's no use in denying it. The last lines of your drabbles always kill me sweetly. These are no exceptions. How much it aches to see Jess grounding Sam, and how much it feel right yet sad to see John reflecting on the little killer he's made? You twist the knife so, so well.)

Whee! That just made my day. Thank you! :D

When I do drabbles I do try to make each one build to a kick at the end, a twist or a mental gut-punch. I'm so glad you liked the Dean one. Actually, your work was an influence, I wanted that "lonely highway" feeling and to use body language to convey character.

*hugs!* :)

You're excellent at those kicks. Truly. And thank you! Your work is inspiring me, too; I want to try out these drabble challenges, with little gut-punches like you do so well.

BTW, I just linked to this drabble set from a Route 666 post; I hope that was okay? I think the Dean POV drabble is a must-read.
