Bruce! Bono! New president!
Bruce Springsteen and U2 are performing at the inauguration concert. Which is going to start...any minute now? I'm watching CNN which I guess is going to cover everything live. eta: no, not the concert, CNN is showing us the jumbotrons of where the concert really is happening, and not much of it at that.
eta: streaming live now at HBO.com, where they are actually showing speeches, while CNN is all talking heads blah blah blah blah blah.
eta again: and now I have actual goosebumps because U2 singing "Pride (In the Name of Love)" at the Lincoln Memorial.
HBO is going to air the concert for free at 7 pm though.
It's still sinking in that the 8 years of Bush are really, truly over and the new guy is on his way. I like the new guy! (And no, I don't think he will be perfect and fix everything, I fully expect he will make mistakes but my god, he has a brain and he's sensible and smart and a realistic idealist).
