Thank you! This one felt tricky. Because the witnesses was all about confronting hunters with things they hadn't fully acknowledged. So I wanted to show her regret but also that she tries to shrug it off.

This is wonderful. Very sparse, yet lyrical. You did a wonderful job of giving personality and individuality to someone who had about 2 minutes of screen time.

Thanks so much! I think they picked an actress who made a lot of her screen time, as with Pamela. I wanted to do a Pamela back story too but didn't quite get down to it, glad I could do Olivia's. The actress had almost zero dialogue but a lot of presence (and I'm utterly delighted that canon showed a full-fledged female hunter in action).

*nods* This is very true.

I was hoping I'd find an Olivia ficlet this morning, and here it's the first thing that showed up on my friendslist!

After the ghosts, there was laughter.

I like this, the idea that she already knows herself well enough at 25 to have looked up the tv schedules for the local channels because she knows she'll need something to laugh at after dispatching ghosts.

Yay! Heh, and here I thought someone else on my flist would post something before I could. Thank you!

Good look at a character we saw so very briefly on screen. I like how you not only fleshed her out, but also provided background info on the couple that eventually took her life. You packed a lot into these 900 words.

Favorite lines:

The little girl caught Olivia's eye as they went by, stuck her tongue out and Olivia stuck her tongue out right back.

*g*

A place near Olney had the best damn French fries in three states, crispy and hand-cut with the skin still on them.

Good detail.

Olivia turned up the volume, the laugh track like water over stones, let the exit for Olney slide past her, and kept on driving.

Great ending image.

Getting some details on the victims seemed as important as getting them on Olivia -- in effect, this fic was a rising of the witness for the episode as a whole (because Olivia herself is a victim, although not one whose death is brushed off, by Bobby at least, and I noticed Sam looked like he wanted to throw up...the boys don't usually react so strongly. Maybe Sam was remembering BUaBS...whoops, was that a plot bunny?).

Thanks, hon, I'm glad you liked!

I think it was.
