Policy and upcoming December break

Hello! We'd like to let you know that dotcoms_refresh will be taking a week long break later this month. This means that no newsletters will be posted from December 22nd - December 28th (U.S.). But not to worry! Once we return from our break we'll be collecting all the links posted during our absence and they'll be included in our regular newsletters.

We'd also like to announce an update to our band tagging scheme. Up until now, we have been listing any fanworks involving Jon and/or Ryan as Panic! at the Disco fanworks, even though Ryan and Jon have split from that band to form The Young Veins. We will very soon be adding The Young Veins to dotcoms_refresh's official list of bands we cover. However, the way we tag The Young Veins content will slightly be different from how we tag other band content. At this time, fanworks will only be tagged with TheYoungVeins when:

1. The creator lists The Young Veins in their meta information (header/tag list/etc.).
2. Jon and/or Ryan are listed as characters but Spencer & Brendon are not.

Otherwise, they will be treated as Panic! at the Disco fanworks.

We may adapt this policy in the future to bring it more in line with the way we tag other bands, but for now we see this as the best way to present the work being produced in the fandom.
