First of all, thanks to the wonderful
pynk_spyder for creating my new header. Let's give her a hand, folks. As it turns out, constantly bothering someone in an annoying manner really WILL get you things that you want. \o/
Second of all, I am feeling very hyper for no apparent reason. (This sort of activity tends to lead to a complete randomness in my conversation skills, so.. yeah. You've been warned.) The Huskers were swept by Texas this weekend, putting them at a nine game losing streak. D'oh! I find myself partially to blame for this in that incredibly superstitious manner that people get when it comes to sports.
See, whenever I *don't* attend at least one game of the Huskers' home opener, they have a really awful season. Unfortunately, it's a little difficult for me to make it to a game when I work 50 miles away (and clients don't seem to want to pay me for attending baseball games instead of doing lawyer stuff). So, I'm blaming myself for this debacle. I can only hope that their streak will break once I am able to actually attend a game, but I'm not sure when that will be. So, I will instead focus on happier times in Husker baseball history, hence the Alex Gordon icon. (Although tomorrow I'll be forced to root against him when JOBA is pitching!!)
I shall now focus on my happiness on my pro team: the Colorado Rockies. Yay! I realize that we're only four games in, but still.. winning the NL West!
I am trying to stealthily convince my maid of honor,
pynk_spyder (a woman with many talents...and awesome hair) to organize some sort of awesome bachelorette party that involves going to a Rockies game. I'd actually be pretty hyped about any baseball game, ANYWHERE. But, that's not up to me. Technically, there's no real need a bachelorette party or any other kind of party, but.... baseball!!! Fun!!!!
Now I want to do a whole 'nother post completely about wedding stuff, but I'm doubtful as to whether anyone actually wants to read about that stuff.
I also want to go on and on and on about Supernatural, because I fear that my dear show has been neglected by my on LJ (well, my LJ has been neglected by me just in GENERAL). But, I assure you that is simply not the case in REAL LIFE (where all the other Supernatural fans I meet are guys).
So, yeah... I'll stop there for now.
