Is Boderline Personality Disorder the ADD for adults? It seems you can't describe someone who creates drama without having some commented diagnose them with BPD.

No idea, but I'm an adult with ADHD, so it can work for us to. And the direct association with "drama" is glibly annoying.

I think *any* Diagnosis Via Internet is bad form.

I feel very capable of diagnosing stupidity via internet. :)

Yes, but the symptoms are clearer with that. =P

Especially based on someone else's description. I kinda chewed on the diagnoser.

I've noticed it seems to be an inevitable refrain any time someone is being manipulative, possessive and drama-prone. And maybe some of the time it's actually true, but diagnosis of psychological problems via Internet is rarely a good idea.

(BTW, another AD[H]D adult here. Diagnosed by an actual doctor, thanks.)

If everyone that was ever a drama queen had BPD, the whole damn country would be on pharmaceuticals.

I had a former partner once try to convince me that I suffered from a "mild" case of Asperger's. This despite the fact that I am not clumsy, communicate fairly well, and do not display any obsessive behavior or compulsions. It's now a running joke in my new household. Some days, I just don't understand complex social behavior and interactions because my Asperger's is acting up. :-)

there are no pharmaceuticals indicated for BPD.

Which is not to say that 30 word internet diagnoses are right or anything, just a fun fact. ;)

When you've been involved with a borderline, you tend to see them everywhere for awhile (sometimes a long while).

Yeah, I tend to think of it as my hind-brain screaming huge honking red-alerts at anything and everything that looks even remotely like what I got away from.
