I find it to be a refreshing change from people that provide a cast of characters in their first, short-lived intro post, and then continually refer to Bob and and Andy and Jen and Amy without specifying that Bob is actually the neighbour and Amy is the cat.

you know, you're right. i think it just struck me as being out of place considering that the rest of her writing is rather confused and scattered but she over iterates the history dynamics.
