When "too much information" really *is*...

Aug 21, 2008 22:59

I don't remember her first post, I don't remember her last post, and if she means to start posting monthly updates on her new live-in all I'm going to remember is "What a pain in the ass."

(Seriously: Some people need to learn the difference between a personal journal and a community...)

But... but... but some people ASKED for updates doncha know, and honestly, they weren't just trying to be nice and polite and encouraging.

At least this one's cut and in full sentences.

I am clearly in the minority, but I found the post to be reasonably interesting. Seeing examples of relationships working in normal daily life is a nice change from the dramaific train wrecks.

Yeah but we got something like 9 paragraphs when all we needed was 1 or 2.

I've just made another note to myself: Details in the personal journal, summary in polyamory.

Exactly. The level of detail is something I wouldn't inflict on my friends, much less a community of strangers.

I know her from elsejournal, and it's reasonably interesting to me--though I'll be honest, if I didn't know her at all I really wouldn't care, so I sympathize with your reaction.
