So, I've had this puppy for two days now, and she totally doesn't listen to me.  She craps everywhere and makes a lot of noise and doesn't listen and is, generally, a puppy.  I have tried The Great and Glorious Generic Term of Training on her just like with my other dog who is PERFECT and, though rescued, guaranteed not to have heard a word of ( Read more... )

I want so badly to tell her how many of those mixed-breed wolf hybrid "breeders" are completely full of shit and love scamming idiots like her. Up here, wolves are far more likely to kill a female in heat than mate with it because they're considered competitors for food. Most of the "wolf mixes" up here are just high-strung working line husky mixes, sometimes with a little GSD thrown in for a little extra wolf look.

I can't help but hope the pup is not a wolf hybrid. Based on her writings, I would have to say she's not quite ready for such a challenge. I'm afraid this situation may be a disaster waiting to happen.

I sincerely hope so, although working-line huskies are generally flung back at the shelter, too. Depending on where she bought this thing from... :-/ I do sincerely hope it's just a mix. I daresay it does look quite a bit like something you'd find up here, but the coat length is a bit iffy to me for husky x gsd. Then again, wolves would have a longer coat, too. I wonder what else is thrown in there? It almost looks like shepherd x husky x shiba.

She's one of these idiots that just go "WOLVES ARE PRETTY AND IF I WORSHIP THEM ENOUGH THEN THEY WILL LOVE ME AND IT'LL BE JUST LIKE A DISNEY MOVIE." We get a lot of them up here, unfortunately, who come here to fulfill their completely unrealistic dreams. It's sad, really.

She got taken, hook, line and sinker. The result is, apparently, a sick wolfdog mix that's now going to start piling up the vet bills. Great research!

Me too. And any future disney-esque wolves she might decide to keep trapped behind a gate with a No Trespassing sign (because wolves are magical and can totally read).

I had to post some wolf and wolfdog facts for her; I couldn't resist it. And given her claim that it's an arctic wolf, the breeders may have simply mixed with white GSD. I can hope so. If there's any wolf in there, she has no idea what she could be getting herself into.

alsdnfal;skdnf poor fucking dog.

I bet this is the case in many "wolfdogs" out there.
