Psychology is whatever I say it is!

Okay, so we've already established that genetics works however the breeder wants it to. When you breed two animals, only the traits you *really* want come out. Our next lesson is that psychological terms mean whatever you want them to mean. And you can use those terms, for which you have invented meanings, to justify absuing animals ( Read more... )

Wow. I need to run right out and explain this to all the PSYCHOLOGY PHDs that I work with here in the PSYCHOLOGY DEPARTMENT at one of those silly university-typed thingies. Clearly they're all just wasting their time!

So, like, because we all went to school for at least 13 years, we're all experts in education right? So you don't need any further experience or schooling to become a professional teacher. Wow. Who knew? I'm sure parents across the country will be much relieved to hear that news.

See,you get it!

I've decided to become a neurosurgeon. I've watched a few other kinds of surgeries in dogs, cats, and rabbits. People can't be that much different. And I took a physio class that had *a whole unit* on neurons and the brain and etc. I think I'm ready for it.

I get it because, as a teacher, I've pretty much experienced this attitude first hand. Parents are all experts in education because they went to school too, see? Because being a student in a classroom TOTALLY PREPARES YOU for leading a classroom! And being around your ONE child totally prepares you for getting in front of 30 adolescents and having them engage in productive learning! So, yes, please, give me your "expert" opinion on every single thing I'm doing in my classroom. This masters degree I have? Geez, why bother? Cuz any old yahoo can be a totally awesome expert teacher, apparently.

And news? A zoo WILL NOT hire you just because you had two "pet" tigers for two years. In fact, they'd REPORT YOU for illegally handling exotic animals and then show you the door for being a dumbass.

Apparently, you're wrong. Apply to a zoo or something. Obviously you know nothing.

(I know of no zoo that would hire anyone because they owned tigers for two years. But hey, I don't doubt there's some back alley zoos out there that hire all kinds of people. You see them in the news all the damn time. :) )

Ooooh gotcha. *rolls eyes*

I was thinking more Toronto Zoological Park and less Bubba's Exotic Animal Attraction. I'm all cleared up on that now. ;)

Yeah, the zoo here claims to want at least a 2 year degree in a zoology related field, but considering there's a vet college and a zoology major at the same college only an hour away, I'd bet money getting in with a 2 year degree is pretty slim.

So this means because I watch the shelter vet do surgeries I can do it now too? OMGZ, how kewl. I'm going to quit my boring job right this minute and go get hired to butcher work on animals. I'm ready to fix that next broken leg that comes in. *puts on surgical gloves and waits*
