Cats are people too!

CATS ARE PEOPLE TOO! You can't cut off a person's balls without his permission, so you totally can't cut off a cat's balls without his permission. That's why I'm keeping two male cats locked outside on a balcony instead of having them neutered, bringing them back inside, and letting them be healthy, happy pets. I mean, they were spraying all over ( Read more... )

i couldnt help myself. i saw that post and i just lost it (maybe its pent up frustration) - but i am sick of people who like natural methods of living, using it as an excuse for being irresponsible pet owners.

*my* dog would prefer to wander the neighborhood chasing cats, should i let him?

I agree completely—both with your comment here and on the linked post. Living natural is an addition to health, not an excuse to not be healthy. When it comes to animals, that still applies—plus some, really, because unlike humans they can't stand up and say "this funny vegan diet is making me weak and sick" or "if I were sentient, I'd probably want to stop producing all those hormones that make me piss on your furniture." Gah.

Most, if not all, dogs would love to eat cat shit and cooked bones and garbage and would generally end up dead without guidance. Sounds like a great way to end the species, a la PETA's wishes.

So, she can ask the cat and get permission to let it go free without food everyday and such?! Hmmmm, I never knew that.

That is beyond stupid.

Aaaannd she's only listening to arguments that agree with her. And she already has an outdoor cat. It's done fine for two whole years, why would you keep any cat indoors?

Also, neutering = a frontal lobotomy. And cats have social pressures that keep them from being sterilized - just like people!! I know that whenever Honey runs into an unaltered female at the vet's, she's met with dirty or pitying looks and there's always a hushed conversation about how "she's really just a poor dear after all - not able to have kittens anymore and no enjoyment of sex. And don't those barbed tomcat penises feel just great? Poor dear, she must miss them..." among all the unaltered kitties and recent mommies.

Also, I can fly. And I have X-ray vision. And I sneeze out $20 bills.
