I seem to remember reading that someone had purchased these because they had a very fearful dog that they were trying to socialize to keep adults from running up and sticking their hands in it's face before they could make them stop... apparently people don't pay attention, either way. :P

I can understand if the dog is in the process of being trained. But like I mentioned to Cotton, I would worry that people would use them as an excuse not to train at all.

I'd be more likely to approach and say 'whoa, where'd you get the cool leash?'

In theory though, it's a good idea. Service vests work pretty well for that too since people are generally smart enough to let the working dogs do their job.

I do take my biting dog in public.... because I want to socialize her. It hasn't worked so far, but I try!

I want that collar/leash combo just because it's absurd looking :D But, I don't want to support that company.

It wouldn't be hard to make!!! Just find a bright yellow (or whatever color you want) collar and take a permanent marker and write "Caution" on it. XD
