Wow. A Lost Entry That Never Made Its Post Date. >_>;

So this was the best MEGACON I've had so far through out my convention adventures. The many years I've been to conventions, I've never cosplayed as an anime/video game character. But this year I did, along with Gerardo, and Rachael. For MEGACON 2007, I cosplayed as Uchiha Sasuke from Naruto. I felt so awesome. :P
The day started off at my place. I woke up at 8:30AM and got dressed into my outfit, but not entirely done. Around 9:00PM I walked to the entrance of my neighborhood. Rachael showed up with her Sakura costume --which looked really awesome--. I remember she told me while walking over to my place that her mom thought I was a chick because of the Sasuke whig I was wearing. When she arrived in the interior of my quarters, she helped with preparing my coustume for the convention. When that was done, I was preparing the food in the lunch box for later on, so we me and everyone can eat sometime around the day of the convention. Afterwards, I find out along with Rachael that my uncle and grandma are going to move to Texas immediately. We both said our goodbyes, but they'll be back to visit around when I graduate. As a farewell gift, my grandma gave me $100 for the convention, which was generous of her. I made sure I showed my thanks. When the two gone, with my dad to drop them off, Rachel, Nick and I were waiting for my mom to get dressed. It took her almost half an hour but I waited patiently. My mom was done and it was 10:45AM, and we headed off... but before we went to the car, my mom took some pictures of Rachel, Nick, and I. From group to single pictures. After a few snapshots, we headed off to pick up Gerardo (who cosplayed as Naruto) before we actually drove to MEGACON.
We got to the convention near noon. When we got to the Convention Center, we got a few pics taken over there as Team 7. When we got to the door where the MEGACON was nearby, we saw a huge line of people waiting to purchase their way to the dealer and events. Luckilly, my mom, Nick, and I purchased ours online prior to the convention. Sadly, Rachael and Gerardo didn't, meaning they would have to wait through that long line. My mom, Nick, and I got ours with no problem and quickly, but we waited with Gerardo and Rachael in line, because I felt bad to go in the dealer room without them. A buddy of ours, James, was with us and found by Rachael and Gerardo before they got in line. So I waited with them. While we were waiting, Rachael was talking to a person named Rachel as well --but minus the A before the E--. I liked her, and they immediately got along great. Rachel was cosplaying as Deidara, and the two were similar in personality. From time to time, while talking, I would get pictures taken with them by con attendees. It took like an hour for Rachael and Gerardo to get to the booth to pay for their day, but the conversing with those around us kept us occupied from boredom.
It was past 1:00PM when Rachael and Gerardo got their wristbands for the day. Rachel got split up from us, and we were ready to go. While my mom was taking pictures of many people in costumes, everyone in our group were about to go inside the dealer room, but waiting for my mom. During the wait, we were right next to these group of people who were carrying a boom box and blasting techno. A dude with a Wii controller was dancing, then Rachael and I were dancing with the music. After groovin' a bit, many have asked for pictures, which was great. Soon enough, my mom came and we went inside the chaos and flood of people in the dealer room!
Onwards we go! We went through the crowd of people and passed by one of my favorite shops. I was looking around seeing the newest Naruto plushies, then Rachael, Gerardo, and James were going to look for something. I decided to buy an ANBU Kakashi plushie, then went to look for the gang. My mom, Nick, and I went around the convention to find them, but later used the phone due to me being impatient. We found them, eventually, and decided to eat.
The place was crowded inside the dealers room and the lobby on the first floor. We all went up to the second floor to eat our food, which was less crowded. Everyone took all the good spots, so we went to the far back on the left where we had a large view of the hundreds of people swarming around the dealer's room. So we ate with our hearts content. Sandwiches with cheese and pepperonni, chip's on the side, pouch drinks, and brownies with chocolate pocky for desert. During our lunch, JC, his cousin Marcus, and girlfriend Eli found us. We all talked and soon got group photos taken.
After we were done with our lunch, we went back into the chaos that was in the dealer room. It was no surprise to be shoulder to shoulder with people at times. But anyway, we went to one store where Gerardo got his Naruto jacket. It looked comfy. Gerardo then spotted an Ino. He wanted me to take a picture. And so I did. The Ino said something Ino-like and Rachael went all Sakura at her. It led to a picture of Sakura and Ino having a tug of war with me. It was funny. Sadly, my mom didnt take the picture.
Later while meandering around the dealer room, we decided to go to the costume contest that was taking place upstairs. We saw many cosplayers unite up there. The waiting and lines were ridiculously long. I was impatient and went down with Rachael to find a Zabuza sword for JACON when I go as Zabuza. So we went and looked around following the directions a Zabuza gave us while upstairs before. Sadly, we didn't find it, and decided to make it soon. Rachael was tired, so we sat down and chilled against a wall. It wasn't long when my mom and Nick found us. He chilled along with us, while my mom was looking around booths. I did the same soon after and bought a Sasuke plushie and Rachael's b-day gift that was suppose to be delivered 3 weeks ago. I was tired of waiting from Toys N Joys and bought what I got her online. She was happy when I showed it to her, and I was glad.
Just after, it was near 6:00PM. We left the dealer and went to find Gerardo. We eventually found him, and said bye to one of Rachael's old friend. While heading back, we were ask for pictures. The awesomness right there. Then soon enough, we get to the car and head home and drop off Gerardo and Rachael.
