Skipping bellydance tonight. Will gym instead.
Because I'm too absorbed with drawing. Haven't bellydanced in a week but I haven't seriously drawn for longer.
I have a lot of characters whom I know inside and out- their emotions, eccentricities, psychoses and all around purpose in life. What I don't have for them is a story. They exist in a certain universe with certain goals, but I am a mess at actually building a story and providing a script for them. But I know I could draw it.
Why don't you help me out? If you're good at writing stories, play around with them. Direct their lives. Make stuff happen. I wanna draw it.
I'm drawing up character sketches and comic page samples (of the art style, pacing, levels of 'extreme', etc) at the very moment just in case I ever go through with something.
Here goes: (in no particular order)
1) Genre: Action, Drama
Story: The life and times of a trio of female assassins.
Main characters: A budding killer with promising talent, a psychopathic stripper, a seasoned assassin that is their trainer/mentor, and accompanying male lovers/victims.
Setting: Urban, modern.
Content: gritty violence involving guns and knives. sex and nudity. No holds barred!
2) Genre: Drama, Action
Story: The interactions, relationships and unlikely romances that happen when warriors meet.
Main characters: A female samurai and a ninja, a bodyguard and a political rebel, a female ninja with a deceased clan and a vendetta.
Setting: 18th century Japan
Content: Frequent dialogue and backstory, bladed weapon action (occasional, but bloody). romance and sexual content.
3) Genre: Drama, Romance
Story: High school. Teenagers. Relationships and sexuality.. need I say more?
Main characters: A writer, an artist, a social butterfly, a hipster, a goth.
Setting: Modern day
Content: i insist on ANGST. Straight, gay and bi relationships. Confusion, romance and coming-of-age.
4) Genre: Fantasy, Adventure
Story: High adventure in an opulent fantasy world... with female heroes at last!
Main characters: A warrior queen, an archer, a mage, an elf
Setting: Fantasy universe.
Content: anything and everything your brain can think of, but it's gotta be all about the visuals.
...as you can see, there are a lot of options.
Am I asking too much? Probably.
